committees that work behind the scenes to oversee the operation of
the organization and its facilities and the well-being of the
members and Staff.

ANNUAL MEETING
The Annual Meeting on the fourth Wednesday in January, and
specially called Congregation Meetings, are the central
decision-making body of Grace Lutheran Church: following the mission
of our LORD and as guided by our Lutheran Confessions and the
Constitution of Grace Lutheran Church.
CHURCH
COUNCIL
 |
Church Council oversees and carries out the budget,
constitutional provisions, and mission of Grace. Each
Council member also serves as a liaison to one of the
following committee in order to provide coordination and
encouragement for all the ministries of Grace. Three Council
members are elected at each Annual Meeting for three year
terms. Two Council members are chosen by the High School
Youth group. Meet your

BUILDING AND
GROUNDS
Building and Grounds Committee addresses issues of the building
and surrounding property. Included are building repairs and
maintenance, gardening, and landscape management. This includes
the Aesthetics Committee and PPP (Prayer, Paint, Pound, and Pie -- a
group which does various maintenance work every Tuesday morning); as
well as seasonal and specific tasks such as Ladder People,
Landscaping Team, Moving furniture, and snow removal team.
ENDOWMENT
COMMITTEE
Endowment Committee oversees the Endowment Fund of Grace. Money
given to the Grace endowment is invested and unless otherwise
designated only the interest earned is used for various ministries.
None of the money can be used for ongoing budgetary expenses of

EVANGELISM
COMMITTEE
Evangelism Committee oversees the new member ministry, outreach
ministry, and the inspiration ministries for all people. For

FELLOWSHIP
COMMITTEE
Fellowship Committee plans and oversees the Fellowship Ministries
at Grace by coordinating activities that foster a sense of community
among members. Click on "Fellowship"

AESTHETICS
COMMITTEE
Aesthetics Committee makes immediate and long-term aesthetics
decisions for the Grace facility and manage memorial & gift
procedures.
LONG
RANGE PLANNING COMMITTEE
Long Range Planning Committee looks toward planning for the
future of Grace as it pays attention to needs and opportunities in
the Tomahawk area.
MUTUAL
MINISTRY COMMITTEE
Mutual Ministry Committee is a support for the pastors of Grace
both to ensure that undue expectations of ministry are not heaped
upon the pastors and also to guide and encourage the pastor to
address specific needs and ministries of Grace.
PARISH
EDUCATION COMMITTEE
Parish Education Committee is made up of people representing the
various education ministries of Grace in order to address needs and
to coordinate efforts. Click on "Education"

PERSONNEL
COMMITTEE
Personnel Committee oversees the job descriptions of all the
called and hired staff of Grace. This includes overseeing all legal
requirements as well as the well-being and efficient functioning of
the staff.
STEWARDSHIP
COMMITTEE
Stewardship Committee encourages the faith, financial, time, and
talent giving of members for the mission of Grace and of Christ’s
church. The group meets monthly to plan and review special offerings
and requests and to plan and encourage life-long stewardship in our
Christian lives.
WORSHIP COMMITTEE
Worship Committee oversees all the worship ministries of Grace.
Members serve for a two year term, two oversee the Music and Liturgy
Ministries and two oversee the support ministries for worship, and
two chair the committee and oversee special concerts and events at
Grace. Click on "Ministries" under

YOUTH TASK FORCE
Youth Task Force was created by Church Council to research youth
ministry today and to plan and design a youth ministry for Grace for
Middle School, High School, and Young Adults.
SERVICE GROUP
This group does not exist yet,
but may be needed to coordinate and promote the many service
ministries and opportunities at Grace. Currently there is a
liaison to the Grace House. Click on "Service"
