SERVICE MINISTRIES IN THE TOMAHAWK AREA

Grace Lutheran cooperates with and supports many service ministries in the Tomahawk community.

Food Pantry | Alcoholics Anonymous | T.A.I.V. | Kinship | Salvation Army

FOOD PANTRY

The Food Pantry is a ministry shared with the other churches, civic groups and people in Tomahawk. Grace people donate the fruit – especially fruit cocktail, peaches and pears – to the pantry. Members also volunteer to work at the pantry.

Thank you Bob LaNou for our Food Pantry collection box! Grace has been "assigned" canned fruit as our responsibility for donations, and now we have a beautiful piece of furniture to serve as an ongoing reminder of the needs in our community.

ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS

Alcoholics Anonymous, Alanon, Narcotics Anonymous – meetings are held at the following times and locations:

Grace Lutheran: Saturdays 8:00 AM (AA & Alanon); Wednesdays 8:00 PM (AA & Alanon)

Grace House:  Fridays 7:30 PM (Open AA); Sunday 10:00 AM

T.A.I.V.

Tomahawk Area Interfaith Volunteers – is a new ministry Grace is helping to initiate for the Tomahawk area. It is similar to Kinship except that it matches people who have needs due to age or disability with people who are willing to help with chores, visits or other needs.

KINSHIP

Members and groups support this organization which matches adults who regularly meet with children and youth who need additional relationships with caring adults.

SALVATION ARMY

Grace Lutheran helped initiate a Salvation Army service located in Grace Community House.  Members volunteer as voucher writers and other ways of assisting people in need.  453-5939
