New Member Ministry

NEW MEMBER MINISTRY INCLUDES:

• Overseeing the making of the new church directory at least every five years.

• Maintaining an attractive bulletin board at both entrances to the church which communicates the mission of Grace and an attitude of welcome.

• Sending a letter to each person who visits Grace.

• Serving refreshments and personally welcoming people to the "Meet the Staff" and the "Discipleship" and "Ministry" meetings.

• A New Membership Sponsorship Ministry that invites people to serve as sponsors, matching them with new members, trains, and follows up on the sponsors welcome and support of new members.

• Coordination of the "Meet the Council" Dinner with the Fellowship Committee, Council members, and sponsors to warmly welcome and introduce the new members to the ministries at Grace.

• Preparation and giving of a new member welcome bag to each new member.

• Preparing a new member reception between services.

• Coordination of the reception in worship with an introduction by the sponsors and a sung welcome into the life of Grace by the members.

• Taking and posting pictures of all the new members to help them be recognized and introduced.
