ABOUT
OUR
PROGRAM
-
WHAT TO EXPECT
What can I expect
from the program?
Our Sunday school
program uses a rotational method of teaching, which means we focus
on one theme or story for three weeks and offer numerous learning
opportunities (i.e., drama, art, puppets, music, activity sheets,
etc.) to reinforce the lessons. Classes are offered to children
beginning at age three through 5th grade. (Pre-confirmation classes
are offered on Wednesday evenings to students beginning sixth grade.
Please contact Pastor for more information.)
Our program typically
runs from Labor Day to Memorial Day; however, please check our
calendar for specific dates. We meet in Reiff Hall (basement) from
9:40 a.m. until 10:40 a.m. on Sunday mornings.
Your child can expect a
place that will nurture his or her uniqueness while growing in
faith. With opportunities in both large and small groups, your
child will spend time with children of all ages. By offering these
experiences, we hope to foster a mentoring mentality between the
older and younger children. For instance, to close our morning, we
gather in one large circle and recite the Lord's Prayer. The older
children have done a fantastic job reciting this prayer each week
which have helped the younger children learn the words.
